Cool. These are gigantic. Or are they? They look a bit like hamburgers on a post. Or hamburger buns?

  2. ellievellie Says:

I agree! They were about the size of a dollar menu burger 🙂

  3. Baron's Life Says:

Oh My God…these are excellent shots….!
    Congrats

  4. Vogon Poet Says:

Great, these are wonderful mushrooms. First image is perfect and all the other are so full of colors and details.

  5. Hilda Says:

Fantastic macros, Ellie! And where did you find so many kinds of mushrooms? Cool!

  6. bim Says:

The first one looks just like the PERFECT mushroom. Did you have any of them for dinner? 🙂

  7. ellievellie Says:

All four were at a baseball field in a park. I don’t recognize which mushroom is edible – trust the grocery stores on that one 🙂

  8. Baron's Life Says:

Be very careful with mushrooms…none of these are edible. An edible mushroom has a ring around the stem…
We used to go in the woods, collect them and Baboushka would pickle them the good old Russian style…but you have to know which ones to pick otherwise mushroom poisoning will kill you without mercy

  9. ellievellie Says:

I wouldn’t dare to try wild mushrooms. I buy them. My mom used to make kasha with mushrooms and butter and flour – yum, yum.

Wonderful mushrooms! I love that there are always mushrooms here when I visit 🙂

  11. Carletta Says:

A hamburger, an oreo, and rolls – that’s what the first three reminded me of. 🙂
    Terrific shots!
