It is a small part of the Roman Stadium in my home town of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Built in II century it replicates the layout of the stadium in Delphi, Greece and had a capacity to seat 30 000 people. Popular site of gladiator games – the gates where the wild animals were released from are still visible. Grass is peacefully growing now on the arena mosaic floor. They as well may let some sheep or goats to grease on it

The Potemkin steps are in Odessa, Ukraine – very spectacular staircase – these are actually the seats of the stadium and are built 17 centuries before the Potemkin steps
